The report takes a look at the performance indicator systems used by Philippine LGUs upon the adoption of the Local Government of 1991. This paper summarizes the situation of performance measurement at the local level, and analyzes the level of usage and effectiveness of such indicator systems. In addition, certain actions are recommended to build upon the success and further strengthen implementation of performance assessment of Philippine LGUs.
