This paper reviews studies, surveys, experiments, and research projects relevant to bilingual education carried out in the Philippines over the years in order to evaluate the present implementation of the Language Policy as prescribed in the 1987 Constitution and the 1987 Policy on Bilingual Education. In addition, it reports on a number of field visits undertaken to examine actual Bilingual Education Policy implementation.
