The last issue of the Development Research News (DRN) this 2021 features articles from presentations during the 7th Annual Public Policy Conference (APPC), which focused on the theme "Reset and Rebuild for a Better Philippines in the Post-pandemic World". The banner story discusses key strategies to reset and rebuild while recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. The succeeding articles expound on promoting stakeholder capitalism, green and inclusive recovery, and robust and healthy workforce and their importance in removing social inequities in a post-pandemic world. This quarter’s DRN also features an article on financial inclusion and its role in helping mitigate the detrimental effects of the pandemic. Also included in this issue is an article from the 7th Mindanao Policy Research Forum on green and blue recovery strategies to transform agriculture into an inclusive, sustainable, and resilient sector. Completing this issue is an article on Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Karl Chua's keynote speech at the APPC, which tackles the recovery prospects of the country and some of the reforms that help the Philippines restore its development trajectory, and the opening remarks of PIDS President Aniceto Orbeta Jr., which urges everyone to use the pandemic as an opportunity to resolve the cracks in our systems.
