Since credit assistance is one of the support services currently in demand in the recovering prawn industry, this paper enlightens industry players on the issue of credit availability by: a) providing a rundown of present and upcoming government credit faciliites for fisheries; b) reviewing probable sources of constraints to financing access; and c) outlining specific government efforts to support enhanced financing access for the sub-sector.
