From April 14 to 23, 2007, CGAP conducted a mission to analyze the policy, legal and regulatory environment for branchless banking in the Philippines2 This document summarizes CGAP’s findings from the diagnostic assessment.3 It is based on an analysis of existing legislation and regulations relevant to branchless banking approaches, and on the CGAP team’s insights from interviews with a range of stakeholders.
