The paper recalled some major disasters in 2011, such as the current floods in Bangkok, the recent flooding in Central Luzon caused by Typhoon Pedring, flooding in Queensland Australia in the beginning of the year, and the earthquake and tsunami in East Japan. What they have in common, besides the staggering damages resulting in millions of dollars lost, is that there are always casualties involved.
