The study aims to contribute to the APEC’s efforts in building lessons and literature in science and technology and in micro, cottage and small and medium enterprises. It describes selected researches undertaken by Research and Development Institutes (RDIs) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST); the technologies developed and transferred to individuals and firms, the opportunities and constraints which technology adoptors face as they commercialize the technologies and the participation of women and men in these endeavors.
