There is a growing awareness of the role that Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play in the mitigation of the climate crisis. The study gauged the PH SME readiness in adopting sustainable business practices by analyzing their responses from an SME Bricolage behavior survey that asked questions related to sustainable business practices. This policy brief concludes that the EPR law is a tool for PH SMEs to transition to a green business ecosystem and that the EPR framework and its implementation should be compatible with the local context of the whole SME ecosystem so it can enable firms to transition.
