Export Finance Paves Way to NIChood 2000


This article focuses on the importance of credit access by exporters. It discusess the need for policy measures and support programs to ensure an immediate and undisrupted flow of funds to the export sector for them to become competitive. The article discusses the findings made on the export finance system of the Philippines. It recommends the relaxing of monetary policy to ease the pressure on interest rates by accelerating the reduction of the reserve requirement to a level comparable to the ASEAN countries.
