Initiated in 2016, the DTI-GoNegosyo Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) program is an entrepreneurship mentoring program that seeks to facilitate the growth and development of small businesses in the Philippines by enhancing their business management competencies through coaching and mentoring. Using data from a survey conducted in 2023 among 193 micro and small enterprises (MSEs) that participated in the DTI-GoNegosyo Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) program, this study analyzes the short- and medium-term effects of the program among participants. The findings highlight improvements in employment, net profit, and market share, suggesting the program's general effectiveness in helping small businesses grow. The study also observes entrepreneurial bricolage tendencies among program participants, which help them overcome resource limitations when seeking to innovate and expand. Finally, majority of participants report an increase in business management skills after completing the program. Expanding the program's reach to encompass a greater number of small businesses and ensuring that its modules are consistently updated to address skills gaps in line with current market trends is recommended. Continued support and capacity-building initiatives for MSEs through entrepreneurial mentorship programs are crucial to support their growth and development in an evolving business landscape.
