Economic Liberalization and Foreign Exchange Management

This article is delivered at the PIDS 20th anniversary in honor of Dr. Gerardo Sicat and Dr. Jose Encarnacion. It is partly through their efforts that the country has finally embarked on a genuine and sustained drive for economic liberalization and reform. Since 1986, several economic reforms have been put back on track and new major ones have been initiated. Dr. Cayetano Paderanga shares his thoughts on these issues and in the end poses questions that PIDS might also provide answers in the future.
