The article discusses the evolution of an indigenous civic architecture through the development of an architectural language which is Filipino in nature. Such is the strategy envisioned to make Filipinos identify, appreciate and utilize local aesthetics, and this may be evolved with a systematized documentation of the artifacts and activities of the diverse cultural roots along regional contexts. Albeit a generalized characterization of the procedures involved in the strategy, the article itemizes the stages for developing the architectural language, from inception to institutionalization.
