The 2020 Ilocos Regional Development Report (RDR) provides an assessment of the performance of the region amidst the changes and new dynamics of development. The figures confirmed that the pandemic had profoundly impacted on every aspect of our development. The growth of the agriculture sector was minimal while the tourism industry suffered which brought the economy to the downbeat zone. Given the region’s performance, the Report laid down the strategies to enable smooth recovery and effective transition to the new normal onwards to accelerate economic development.
