9th Mindanao Policy Research Forum: Going Green and Digital for Mindanao’s Sustainable and Inclusive Future

The Mindanao Policy Research Forum  (MPRF) is a yearly joint event of the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), and a partner university in observance of the Development Policy Research Month (DPRM). This year’s MPRF is co-organized with Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan and will be held on September 28 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm via Zoom and Facebook Live

This year’s MPRF, which centers on the theme, “Going Green and Digital for Mindanao’s Sustainable and Inclusive Future”, offers an avenue for scholars, policymakers, and stakeholders from Mindanao to participate in an evidence-based conversation about the twin transition, highlighting regional perspectives and actionable recommendations. The MPRF theme is aligned with the 21st DPRM theme, “Going Green and Digital for a More Sustainable, Inclusive, and Prosperous Future for All”.

This virtual event will feature messages from Xavier University President Mars P. Tan SJ, PIDS President Aniceto Orbeta Jr., and MinDA Chairperson Secretary Maria Belen Acosta. Meanwhile, presenters include PIDS Senior Research Fellow Francis Quimba, Mindanao Clean Energy Living Laboratories Project Leader Rogelio C. Golez Jr., and an international speaker.  To provide regional insights and perspectives are representatives from the government, academe, private sector, and civil society in Mindanao.
