Dr. Francis Mark A. Quimba is a Senior Research Fellow at the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) and Director of the Philippine APEC Study Center Network. His research focuses on innovation, trade, and rural development, particularly the innovation activities of local firms. He has led studies on the Philippines’ readiness for digital trade integration within the Asia-Pacific region.
Dr. Quimba holds a Master’s degree in International Development from the International University of Japan and a Master’s and PhD in Development Economics from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Japan.
He actively participates in trade, industrial development, innovation, and e-commerce discussions, contributing to policy dialogues and research initiatives.
