Japan’s Security Policy and Relations: Clearing the “Nuclear Clouds” in the Korean Peninsula

As it is expected to enhance security cooperation with its allies, it has to address several challenges in rising as a prospective East Asian military power, including its heavy dependence on the US security guarantee and its society’s aversion to remilitarization.
