Shifts and Stalemates: Regional Dynamics in the Korean Peninsula

The paper analyzes the role of regional actors in shaping the security environment of the Korean Peninsula in light of North Korea's military and nuclear provocations. As the nuclear threat compels South Korea and its allies to form a unified response, the conflicting security interests of the US, China, Russia, and Japan strategically benefits North Korea in gaining political and economic concessions in exchange for its denuclearization.
