Technology Management for Exporters

Today's technology is market-driven. There is no stronger force for technology development and application than exports, where competition is most severe. As the year 2002 approaches, the distinction between domestic and export markets will increasingly become irrelevant, as global competition will be right in our markets. This paper argues that business managers, especially exporters, should learn technology management as an economic resource, just as they manage human, capital, and material resources to fulfill the social and economic objectives of their organizations.
