The paper discusses the importance of transparency in the public sector. It presents the findings of an evaluation that looks into compliance of national government agencies (NGAs) with the mandatory requirements of the Transparency Seal. Agency ratings are presented based on the criteria of availability, accessibility, and timeliness of the budget and financial accountability reports.
