CLSU 1995-04: Adaptation of Mt. Pinatubo Relocated Families

The general objective of the research was to gain lessons and insights in relocating and rehabilitating families affected by natural calamities. Specifically, the research studied the agencies involved in the relocation of Mt. Pinatubo victims and the coordination among them, the beneficiaries’ satisfaction with services delivered, their values, aspirations as well as resources and opportunities available to them in the relocation sites. Another concern of the research is to look into the organization and mobilization of the beneficiaries and the problems they encountered in the resettlement sites. The respondents of the study were 300 beneficiaries of the resettlement sites including some key informants such as site managers, personnel of agencies working in the sites and the key officers of association.
