According to economists and social scientists, there seem to be unmistakable causal link between the state of the environment vis-a vis the levels of income obtaining in any population, particularly in underdeveloped and developing economies. The recordsand present realities speak for themselves. While there may be other factors that may also determine the state of the environment, the issue on poverty directly surfaces as the most significant determinant in any discussion.
