FORGIVING OR FOGETTING? CHURCHES AND THE TRANSITION TO DEMOCRACY IN THE PHILIPPINES

The process of transition from authoritarian governments to participatory regime offers new hope to oppressed people. But the process is often marred by conflicts, struggles for power, and even violence. Churches are major social actors in many of the contries undergoing such transition. This monograph addresses the basic question on how the Church position itself in the challenge to be a force for true social reconciliation.
