The article highlights the findings of a study of the same title, which sought to generate planning information, and demonstrates the application of some simple approaches and techniques for analyzing complex factors of the spatial and economic problems of Laguna. It presents a historical perspective of Laguna’s spatial and economic transformations. The depth and detail of the population and settlement system, economic structures and the forces likely to shape the future growth of the province are also analyzed.
