The article is a study on the relationship between regional development and labor mobility. It comes up with an index of regional development with which the levels of development of the twelve regions in the country are ranked and categorized. The extent, distribution and magnitude of the most recent migrant labor flows for the twelve regions are assessed. Finally, the study seeks to establish the relationship between levels of regional development and patterns of migration.
