This paper presents: 1) women as they appear in the writings of Andres Bonifacio, Emilio Jacinto and Apolinario Mabini and 2) the actual roles women played at the time of the Philippine Revolution. The aim of this paper is to see whether the view of women in these texts correspond to the reality of women during this period.
