| This study focused on the teaching-learning practices of senior high school faculty members at University of Batangas during the transition period of K to 12 or the Enhanced Basic Education or RA10533. Sixty- five (65) full time faculty members were involved in this study which was conducted using a self-structured questionnaire. The responses of the teachers were analyzed using frequency count, weighted mean, and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The researchers found out that UB faculty members are young adults and are beginners in the teaching profession. Particularly, the researchers found out that the practices, in terms of the teaching-learning process, were done to a moderate extent having the composite weighted mean of 3.4231 for student outcomes, community development, and professional growth and development. The faculty facilitated learning through functional lesson plans and the use of innovative teaching strategies. They also imposed discipline among students and monitored the orderliness of classrooms by means of routine activities. Faculty members were able to adjust during the transition period in the new curriculum that is mandated by the Department of Education. Finally, a proposed plan or developmental plan was offered for the institutions’ consideration to strengthen the senior high school teachers in meeting the demands of the K-12 Curriculum. | ||
