Teacher Motivation for Staying in the Profession: A Southeast Asian Framework


The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Center for Educational Innovation and Technology (SEAMEO INNOTECH) has taken on this project as part of the key areas of focus it has determined for its 10th Five-Year-Development Plan. This study and framework in determining teacher motivation in Southeast Asia was done in partnership with SEAMEO Regional Centre for Vocational Education and Training (VOCTECH), SEAMEO Regional Centre for Technical Education Development (TED), SEAMEO Regional Centre for Quality Improvement of Teachers and Education Personnel (QITEP) in Language (SEAQIL), SEAMEO Regional Centre for Community Education Development (CED),  SEAMEO Regional Centre for Sufficiency Economy and Philosophy for Sustainability (SEPS),  Ministries of Education of Malaysia and Myanmar, Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport of Timor Leste, and the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences (VNIES).
