This paper was presented during the conference, "Tandang Sora @ 200," on March 1, 2012 at the College of Social Work and Community Development, UP Diliman. It looks into the following topics: 1) the exclusion of women in our historical narrative; 2) the Filipina in Philippine history; 3) the role of sources in writing the history of women; 4) the method of oral history; and 5) the issue of periodization.
