Tropical Storm (TS) Auring was the first typhoon to enter the Philippines in 2021. It hit Caraga Region on 17-21 February 2021, which resulted to flashfloods, displacement of vulnerable groups, and damage of properties, key lifelines, agriculture, and infrastructure in the Province of Surigao del Sur.
The Post-TS Auring Rehabilitation and Recovery Plan (RRP) for Severely Affected Areas in Surigao del Sur discusses on rebuilding the affected local communities, restoring livelihoods, agriculture, and damaged infrastructure/lifelines through the implementation of the 189 rehabilitation and recovery programs, projects, and activities amounting to PhP 8.75 Billion proposed under fiscal years (FY) 2021-2024.
