The emergence of fake news in social media and its influence to the attitude of users led the researchers to study the exposure of the subject high school students to fake news. It also measured the deceitful culture of the participants according to the domains of amusement, negligence, and malevolence as well as the relationship between the exposure to fake news and the cultivation of a deceitful culture. The participants of the study consisted of 200 high school students who were selected through quota sampling. The researchers used the descriptive correlational method with quantitative analysis. Data were analyzed and interpreted using weighted mean and Pearson r. Findings revealed that high school students were exposed to fake news in a moderate extent. Also, high school students developed a deceitful culture to a moderate extent as a consequence of being exposed to fake news. The researchers rejected the null hypothesis that the exposure to fake news found in social media has no significant relationship to the cultivation of deceitful culture among high school students. The result of the study revealed that the more the participants are exposed to fake news the higher is the possibility for them to develop deceitfulness.
