The Davao Region Development Plan, 2017–2022 has a firm linkage to and relationship with the Philippine Development Plan (PDP), 2017–2022, through its development framework, wherein national and regional societal goals are faithfully aligned. It is the first time that the Regional Development Plan is strongly anchored on a Philippine long-term vision—Ambisyon Natin 2040, whereby each Davaoeño shall live a Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Buhay. The Plan charts the path and clears the way for an accelerated drive toward our development vision. The Plan is likewise solidly built on President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s 0 to 10 socioeconomic development agenda, underscoring that any development plan should be founded on a strong focus on peace and order, good governance, and sustainable development.
