The Davao Region Development Plan, 2014-2016 Update provides the development and spatial directions which the Region shall proactively take to fully achieve its vision of becoming the Nation’s Rising Global Frontier.
The goal to sustain high and inclusive growth shall be achieved by heightening the global competitiveness of the Region’s industries; making the agriculture sector productive and competitive to ensure food security; building and nurturing healthy and skilled human capital; improving the resiliency of communities; increasing family incomes through abundant employment and livelihood
opportunities; providing stable security environment; improving the quality of infrastructure facilities
and services; and establishing a science, technology and innovation driven-economy. All of these under a regime of reformed governance in all sectors.
