This paper documents the proceedings of a stakeholder consultation titled "Advancing Iloilo River Management," conducted in collaboration with the Iloilo-Batiano River Development Council (IBRDC). the study evaluates the current environmental state of the Iloilo River and identifies key challenges in its rehabilitation, including water quality degradation, informal settlements, and the impacts of urbanization. Key discussions focus on institutional mechanisms for integrated river basin management, the importance of local community involvement, and the implementation of sustainable eco-tourism initiatives. By synthesizing technical data and stakeholder feedback, the proceedings provide strategic recommendations for policy alignment and long-term ecological preservation. Ultimately, the research highlights the Iloilo River as a vital urban asset and advocates for a multi-sectoral approach to ensure its environmental resilience and socio-economic contribution to the region.
