This 09 May 2025, the Center for Strategic Planning and Policy Studies (CSPPS) of CPAf-UPLB will host a hybrid policy seminar on the Effects of the recent changes in US Tariff Policy on the Philippine Agricultural Sector.
Given the evolving dynamics of international trade and economic policies, understanding the impacts of these on the country’s agricultural sector is crucial. It may directly influence the overall competitiveness of the sectors, affecting local farmers, businesses, just to mention a few. With this policy seminar, we aim to provide valuable insights that can help stakeholders navigate the challenges posed by these changes in policies.
For this seminar, we have invited Ms. Tisha Pia E. De La Rosa, Chief of the Macro-Economic Policy Division, Policy Research Service of the Department of Agriculture, and Dr. V. Bruce J. Tolentino, Professorial Lecturer of UPLB-CPAf, to share their insights on the policy issue to help navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.
