We are pleased to inform you that the 2nd Science & Technology Impact Assessment Conference will be held on May 25-26, 2026, at the Acacia Hotel Manila, Alabang, Muntinlupa. This conference is made possible by the collaboration of the College of Public Affairs and Development at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, DOST-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD), DOST-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD), and the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA). This conference aims to advance the institutionalization and practice of impact assessment in S&T initiatives.
With the main theme “Evaluating What Works in STI-led Pathways to Development”, the conference convenes researchers, program managers, and decision-makers in exploring evolving IA methodologies, applications, and implications in science and technology. The conference will feature three sub-themes:
1. A Cross-Generational Dialogue on Impact Assessment;
2. Embedding Impact Assessment in Institutional Decision-Making; and
3. Assessing Societal Value and Real-World Outcomes of Science and Technology
The 2-day conference will run from 8:00 AM on May 25, 2026, until 5:00 PM on May 26, 2026. This is a FREE registration event and also includes three pre-conference workshops, which will be held on May 25, 2026, from 9:00 - 12:00 PM and a poster contest with cash prizes!
