The Webinar on Unplanned Agricultural Land Conversion aims to raise awareness, deepen understanding, and widen appreciation among Environmental Planners and related professionals of the issue of agricultural land conversion, particularly the reasons behind it and the factors that affect it. It also aims to assess the laws, policies, rules, and procedures related to agricultural land conversion and the functions, roles, and responsibilities of the agencies involved to identify gaps and deficiencies. Lastly, it recommends appropriate actions to address the gaps and deficiencies of these laws, policies, rules, and procedures to upgrade and streamline them toward developing a comprehensive and widely acceptable land policy framework that supports the country’s objectives on agricultural development, equity, and sustainable economic growth.
