Recognizing the need to have accurate and timely information about the Asia-Pacific region led to a proposal of establishing a common electronic database that will tap institutionals linkages in the region. This article features the benefits of establishing an electronic database for the Asia-Pacific and briefly discusses the IT efforts of the Philippine government to set up the database.
